Our discussion on Wednesday will focus not only on what Harris means by "countering," but also how we can incorporate this concept into our writing and thinking. You will want to pay particular attention to what it means to uncover the values of a text and apply that understanding to your summary of "The Summoned Self" by David Brooks. Bring your completed summary of "The Summoned Self" to class on Wednesday for workshop. It can be handwritten, but it must be legible for your partner(s).
